Hey guys! So there’s still time to get this fish dish done for dinner- it helps that it just takes 30 minutes from prep to serving!!!

It’s so hard to make healthy food that everyone loves but this recipe has won both of my toddlers and my husband over as a dinner favorite. No complaints about not wanting to eat their fish at dinnertime when this one’s on the menu.

So let’s get right to it! Here’s the recipe!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 salmon filet cut into 6-8 pieces.
  • garlic salt, Mrs. Dash seasoning, Italian seasoning, black pepper
  • 1/3 cup of honey
  • 1/4 cup of low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • the juice of half a lemon
  • 5 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1/8 cup of olive oil for pan-searing

DIRECTIONS:

  • Season your salmon cuts and refrigerate
  • In a small bowl whisk the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic & red pepper flakes until all ingredients are thoroughly combined
  • Next heat the olive oil in a large skillet and sear the salmon fillets on medium heat for 5 minutes and then flip them over and sear for another 5 minutes.
  • Then pour the garlic-honey mixture into the pan- the marinade will bubble and thicken after a minute or two. Add the lemon slices and reduce heat to low for 2-3 more minutes.
  • Serve hot, garnish with parsley
