I was thrilled when ABC Channel 7 invited me to tour their studio along with a group of Instagram contributors that provide content for the news and the Gram! My husband was a great sport! We made it a date-night!
The evening began with a warm welcome from our tour guide John and his assistant sir Lex. They thanked us for our Instagram contributions and educated us about opportunities to participate in the new ABC Channel 7 Eye Witness Program. We were gifted swag bags with custom ABC Channel 7 cookies, tee shirts, sunglasses and gifts of the like! We introduced ourselves to the group and mingled a bit before the tour began.
John and Lex spared no expense in giving us an amazing tour of the entire station.
Us Instagram contributors and bloggers watched a live newscast, met several on-air personalities and even got the chance to sit behind the news desk ourselves and have a little fun! How does, “Great Day L.A. With the Gorman’s sound?” Ha!
As a surprise, unbeknownst to us we were featured on the 6p.m. news in an impromptu clip. We got to see photos we tagged with #abc7eyewitness on their tag board. One of the photos on the tag board was a Valentine’s Day post from ABC Channel 7 of our daughter along with other lovable kiddos.
Errol was so impressed with that! Now he wants a tag board for his office. Send help LOL!
I, along with the other bloggers in attendance, learned about more opportunities to collaborate with ABC Channel 7 with their outreach events. Moreover, we also learned about opportunities to pitch ideas to be featured in the news.
