Today I’m going to share tips for Visiting Knott’s Berry Farm With Small Kids. Now that the world is opening back up again, I have been looking for ways to have fun with my kids and we can’t get enough of Knott’s Berry Farm. We’re there just about every other week. Knott’s is celebrating it’s 100th birthday all summer long and our family is enjoying every bit of the fun. My kids ages are 6, 5 and almost 2-years-old and all three have a blast every single time we go.

First things first! Children under 3 get into Knott’s Berry Farm for FREE. Kids ages 3-11 will need a Junior Ticket!

Now let’s get started with my tips for Visiting Knott’s Berry Farm With Small Kids.

Visiting Knott's Berry Farms With Small Kids

Tip #1 Start in Camp Snoopy

We always start our day in Camp Snoopy because there are rides for children of all ages but it especially caters to smaller children with Peanuts Characters Meet & Greets and rides children as small as 32 inches can go on alone! About the time we finish enjoying Camp Snoppy my toddler daughter has fallen alseep in the stroller and my older kids can enjoy the rollercoasters. Camp Snoopy is conveniently located just to the right of the main park entrance.

My daughter is not even 2 yet. I was both shocked and delighted when she got on her very first ride all by herself at Knott’s. What a big girl!

Tip #2…Plan To Go on Rides for Small Kids

Below find a list of rides for smaller children with height requirements.

  • Flying Ace (between 32″ and 54″): Pictured Above…
  • Balloon Race (min. height 36″ or accompanied by a supervising companion): AKA hot air balloon baskets.
  • Camp Bus (min. height 42″ or accompanied by a supervising adult)
  • Rapid River Run (min. height 42″ or with a supervising adult)
  • Rocky Mountain Trucking Co. (min. height 42″ or with a supervising adult.
  • Timberline Twister (between 36″ and 69″): Kiddie coaster
  • Woodstock’s Airmail (min. height 36″): A mini lift ride
  • High Sierra Ferris Wheel (min. height 54″ or 36″ with an adult)
  • Huff and Puff (under 52″): Little carts that kids pump themselves around a track
  • Return to the Fair: (min. height 42″ or with a supervising adult).. This is Knott’s NEWEST RIDE a loving tribute to the original “Knott’s Bear-y Tales” attraction from the 70s & 80s. It’s a slow-moving interactive 4-D family ride.

Tip 3 … Enjoy Character Meet & Greets

This one just may be my favorite part! My daughter insists on bringing her Snoopy doll along when we visit Knott’s Berry Farm. She runs on the stage to see Snoopy Every Time and it’s the best. Costumed Peanuts characters also make special appearances in Camp Snoopy where they pose for photo ops.

In Ghost Town, western characters are ready to tell their story to curious kids. Guns are a part of the Midwest theme in Ghost Town so be sure and check your schedule to enjoy or avoid the gunfight in Calico Square depending on your family’s preference.

You’ll also get the chance to meet Knott’s NEWEST characters Boysen-Berry, Crafty Coyote and his pups Moxie & Brawny at the Bear-y Factory Truck right under the ride!

A Few More Miscellaneous Tips:

  • Knott’s offers single and double stroller rentals.
  • Knott’s offers a Parent Locator in case your child wanders off so be sure and register them at the Information Office when you arrive.
  • There’s a baby nursing and changing station with a microwave for baby food inside Camp Snoopy for family’s convenience.

I hope my tips for visiting Knott’s Berry Farm with small kids have been helpful! I love being a Knott’s Berry Farm Ambassador and sharing about all the adventures it has to offer. Thanks so much for checking this out!

  1. I think Knott’s is the best. From the food (see where my priorities are..lol), to the rides, to the games. We always have an awesome time. Can’t wait to go back. When I do I will grab me that fried chicken dinner from Wilderness Broiler and ride Hang Time. Not in that order though.. lol.
