Happy Fall friends! We kicked off the season with our first-ever family trip to Colorado where we were hosted by the grand and gorgeous Gaylord Rockies Resort to some of the best Colorado attractions.

Indoor and Outdoor Waterparks

Arapahoe Springs Resort Pool offers an indoor pool or a heated outdoor pool. Their pools are climate-controlled so regardless of the weather that day, you get to just relax and enjoy your family trip to Colorado.

Lazy River

For the parents, it offers you a sip by the pool to relax and for the kids, there are three water slides and a lazy river to spend the day. It is open every day of the week and there is a lifeguard on duty.

Spacious and Deluxe Family Suites

Our room was so spacious which is exactly what you need when going on family trips. The deluxe family suite has a kitchen and dining room area as well as a couch to relax during your downtime from activities on our family trip to Colorado. A family trip to Colorado calls for a wide range of food selections to keep everyone happy and Gaylord Rockies offers just that!

 

📌 Mountain Pass Sports Bar offers a casual menu featuring burgers, sandwiches, salads, and draft beer. This is the perfect place to catch a game since they have a 75-foot flat-panel TV.

📌 Vista Montagne

If you’re craving Italian food, the Vista Montagne has you covered featuring seasonally-inspired Italian cuisine.

📌 Old Hickory Steakhouse

If you’re looking for a luxurious date-night experience then Old Hickory Steakhouse is the place. Choose from some of the highest quality beef, fresh seafood, artisanal cheeses, table-side desserts, and fine wines.

📌 Monte Jade

If you are looking to have a relaxed night out with the family, Monte Jade offers Asian-inspired cuisine in a relaxing dining space.

📌 Arapahoe Springs Bar & Grill

When the nice weather calls for an outdoor dining experience, Arapahoe Springs Bar & Grill keeps you cool. Their menu had something to offer for everyone on our family trip to Colorado. Their dinner menu includes burgers, wraps, salads, and sweet treats and for the adults, some tasty cocktails.

Afamily trip to Colorado is the perfect time to pamper yourself and Gaylord Rockies Resorts helps you do just that. They offer everything from an Alpenglow Fireside Lounge to the Rocky Mountain Rain Shower. You can take part in some relaxing facials, massages, body treatments, and skin renewal therapies in their European-style day spa.

State-of-the-art fitness center.

If fitness doesn’t stop while on vacation for you, there is a state-of-the-art fitness center that has all the equipment you need. If you’re looking to try something new, you can take a class like water aerobics or yoga which is held each morning at the Arapahoe Spring Indoor Pool. If you want to include the kids, you can always enjoy a tennis match, round of hoops, or a game of pickleball together like we did on our family trip to Colorado.

20 minutes away from Downtown Denver and an hour away from Colorado Springs

Location is everything and Gaylord Rockies Resort is a perfect place for a family trip to Colorado since it is located at the heart of it all. We got to see so much of the gorgeous state and cross some adventures off our bucket list.

🎃 Jack-O’-Lantern Walk
Taking a stroll with the family is always a nice way to spend the evening but it gets even better when you get to partake in some fun. Gaylord Rockies resort offers a complimentary Jack-O’-Lantern Walk that will be sure to inspire you to carve some pumpkins when you get back home.
🎃 Goblins & Giggles Craft Corner
With my love for baking, it is no surprise that this is on the list. It’s fun for the kids to use their imagination to decorate their spooky treat that they then get to enjoy. These were some of the largest cookies I’ve ever seen and such a sweet treat!
🎃 Campfire & S’mores
After a day at the pool, this is the perfect way for the whole family to wind down before going to bed. There is nothing like the special moments you get to share on family vacations around the campfire. (were too good to share)
🎃 Watching football games
Mountain Pass Sports Bar is the perfect place to catch a game. You won’t miss any of the action on their 75-foot flat-panel TV. Gaylord Rockies also offers two local draft beers on tap, so don’t forget to try Pinyons Pale Ale and Grand Lodge Ale during your trip.
🎃 Hide & Seek Scavenger Hunt Featuring Spookley the Square Pumpkin
If your kids enjoy solving puzzles and prizes then this is the perfect scavenger for them. As you solve puzzles, they will reveal eight secret hiding spots so you can win a special prize.
🎃 Spookley the Square Pumpkin Meet and Greet
A fun family photo-op with your favorite hero of the pumpkin patch, Spookley! Spookley is the sweetest and wants to remind everyone that being different can save the day.
🎃 Wicked Awesome Pool Fun
Vlad the Vampire and Morgana the Witch host a ghoulish pool party that the kids will never forget.
🎃 Ghoul School Interactive Show
The fun doesn’t stop at the Ghoul School Interactive Show. Kids get to test a mad scientist’s latest experiment and play Halloween charades. The entertainment keeps going with stories and activities that get you excited for Halloween. I really like the idea behind this show and how it focuses on the importance of individuality, diversity, and being yourself.
