A dream of ours came true..

We got the opportunity to go on our first Disney Cruise!! If you missed Part 1, we stayed at the Disneyland Resort for the days leading up to the Cruise, which you can catch up on. This was our first vacation as a family of 5

Aboard the Disney Wonder

was full of surprises when it came to food, entertainment with the Disney cast, and all of the amenities available! Let’s start with the accommodation available for our vacation as a family of 5. I was very surprised!!

The Accommodations

Traveling as a family of 5 can be stressful, and I wondered how we would sleep comfortably on our first Disney Cruise! I was blown away by the layout of our room and couldn’t get over how amazing our view was. You can see the full-room tour of our Oceanview Stateroom with Veranda aboard the Disney Wonder here.

My favorite aspect of our cabin was the double bathroom, which helped relieve some of the chaos that comes with taking a vacation as a family of 5. There was plenty of closet space and drawers to unpack, which you know we needed for the many outfit changes I had packed.

The kids loved how the living space transformed into a bedroom for 3 with a bunk bed where they took turns rotating each night. And while the kids enjoyed their sleep routines, I picked up a routine myself and took a hot bath to relax every night! It’s not something I’m used to when we vacation as a family of 5, so I was definitely feeling the Disney magic!

Now that we're checked in, what is there to do on the Cruise?

When we discovered that the Disney Cruise comes with childcare, we set out to find out everything the Disney Wonder had to offer. After all, a Disney Cruise is just as much for the children as it is for their parents, or any adult for that matter.

Here’s a few of the adult-only activities on Disney Cruises:

-Enjoy a Mickey Mouse Capuccino from Cove Cafe’, Disney Wish’s adults-only coffee bar, which you can watch here.

-Chocolate and Wine Tasting at the Cadillac Lounge that offers a sophisticated 1950s theme and some very talented musicians.
-My favorite was indulging in a 3-course meal for only $45 at Palo, which I’ll talk more about later! If you want to see the full list of adventures you can participate in on a Disney Cruise, you can watch my Reel here.

Kid’s Club was a game changer for us and gave us parents some moments to enjoy each other or indulge in a bit of self-care while our children were also having the time of their lives.  After we picked up our kids, it was time to share some special moments over dinner, and there were so many options!

Tritons

If you saw my last few posts, you know our summer was filled with Little Mermaid Festivities, including an early screening where we got the chance to meet Halle Bailey, which made dining at Tritons so much more special! I went all out for our outfits for Day one; you can check them out here and let me know what you think!

The whole experience at Triton’s is stellar, from a fusion of French and American cuisine to a beautiful statue of Ariel and multiple photo-ops. I started the night with Shrimp and Scallops and moved on to the famous Chef Louis French Onion Soup. You can see how impressive this line-up was, including the beef tenderloin in my Instagram stories.

Animator's Palette

This night was such a sweet and fun experience for the whole family! Animator’s Palette is a cinematic experience your kids will never stop discussing! It gives kids the chance to draw something special that is then made into a cartoon to share on the BIG screen. We had never had an experience like this during a vacation as a family of 5.

Palo

We used the kids club to enjoy an intimate 3-course meal for $45 each at Palo. Yes, you read that right, 3-course for only $45! For our first course, I enjoyed a fresh arrangement of calamari and shrimp, followed by our main course, a mouth-watering filet mignon with mashed potatoes and spinach. And we must remember the most important part of any meal, dessert! We enjoyed a chocolate souffle; you must see how good this looked! I linked ALL the food mentioned in my Disney Cruise Story for you to see. I had been so excited about our next restaurant…

Tiana's Place!

I patiently awaited dinner at Tiana’s Place, which was nothing short of perfect. It’s a whole vibe with Southern Creole cuisine, a live band, and the most magical part is Tiana goes to each table to say hello to her guests! It felt like it was straight out of a movie, and you can experience the whole vibe here

Pirate's Night

We always heard Pirate’s Night on a Disney Cruise was epic and it was so true!! When we returned from breakfast, we found Pirate scarves in our room for us to prepare for a full day of magic. All your favorite characters are dressed for the occasion; you can see Minnie and Mickey’s Pirate outfits here. The night ended with a fantastic view full of beautiful fireworks and shooting stars!

Pirate’s Night costumes were fun to put together, but you guys know I don’t need a reason to dress up. One of my favorite parts of our vacations is planning our family outfits, and oh boy, did I go ALL out for this year’s Disney Creator Celebration! I even made Mickey-Inspired Sailor Hats for less than $4 each!!! If you’re getting ready for a Disney Cruise or a visit to Disneyland, you can find outfit links to what we wore!

Pinch Me!

I still feel like I’m dreaming when I think about our vacation as a family of 5 aboard the Disney Wonder. This trip has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience we will cherish forever! I’m so happy I can share these experiences with you guys, and I can’t wait to answer your Disney Cruise questions, so send me a message!
