The back-to-school season is just around the corner, and it’s time to get your young ones excited about their mornings with these 3 back-to-school breakfast ideas. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and starting it off with a smile can set a positive tone for the entire day. I remember my oldest son’s first day of preschool. I sent him the first day with one of these back-to-school breakfast ideas, keep reading to find out which one!

 

In this blog post, we’ll explore three fun and creative back-to-school breakfast ideas that will have your kids looking forward to the morning rush! Starting with the easiest of our back-to-school breakfast ideas…

Apple Waffles

Use food coloring and an apple waffle maker to transform your pancake batter into a cute back-to-school breakfast treat!

Step One

Add red food coloring to 3/4 of your batter and green to the remaining 1/4. I’ve linked the waffle maker I used .

Step Two

 I used a squeeze bottle to pipe out the stems on the apples. Pour in your red waffle batter to the remaining portion of the apple mold.

Step Three

Drizzle with your favorite syrup and Enjoy! These apple waffles would also be fun to put on a fall breakfast charcuterie board for a weekend brunch.

Pencil Waffle

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and starting it off with a smile can set a positive tone for the entire day. Here’s how to make sure your kids are prepared for the day:

Step One

Using a frozen waffle and cut into a rectangle to be the base of the pencil. 

Step Two

Use a piece of toast to cut into a triangle to use as the tip of the pencil.

Step Three

Decorate you breakfast pencil with raspberries and raisins and you’re done!

Apple Cupcakes

On my oldest son’s first say, he showed up to school with these special apple cupcakes! These apple cupcakes are fun back-to-school breakfast ideas or as a special homemade treat for their teacher. All you need is:

Step One
