Summer vacation is around the corner, so we decided to start our summer family travel a little early! If you’re wondering where our latest family trip brought us to, let me just say that

Texas has my heart♡

I was fully prepared for the weather, but I was not expecting to be only 10 feet away from bison, but more on that later.

When we first found out that Moon River Ranch was hosting us for 2 nights, we knew this would be a perfect spot for summer family travel!

We looked at their lodging options, and as a family of 5, the Farmhouse Family Cabin immediately caught our eye. If you’ve seen my Disney Cruise Room Tour, you know having enough space for a family is essential, and this cabin sleeps 8, with 1 Queen bed, 2 sets of a Bunk bed, a full-sized loft bed, and a queen-sized sleeping sofa, we were in the right place.

I enjoyed its cozy, almost like a home-away-from-home feel with all the modern comforts which you can tour in my latest video. Once we unpacked, it was time to head to the activities!

As a family of 5, I always try to make sure our stay has on-site activities to keep the kids entertained and the parents relaxed! Moon River Ranch had so many options that we struggled to pick just two but what better way to get a true taste of the Old West than with some horseback riding! It’s probably not the first thing that comes to mind when you think of your summer family travel plans, but between enjoying the fresh air and the scenic path, it’s an experience you must try at least once.

This activity was perfect for the whole family, and it brought us to our next destination, where we met some very special and not-so-tiny friends.

When our kids heard there was an Animal Safari Tour, they were ecstatic! I, on the other hand, was not prepared for how close up and personal we would be to zebras, llamas, and bison, which you can experience for yourself in my latest reel here. We even got to feed Dromedary Camels and the most precious deer! The kids were blown away to be so connected with nature while observing such exotic wildlife roaming freely in their natural habitat.

If you’re looking for a summer family travel destination that offers the perfect balance of adventure and tranquility. Our recent visit was nothing short of breathtaking, adventure, relaxation, and memorable.
