Ingredients

Berry Base

  • 5 cups fresh berries
  • 1 zest of orange
  • 1/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Crumble Topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 sticks cold butter (cut into small cubes)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • In a mixing bowl, toss together berries, orange zest and juice, sugar, flour, cornstarch and salt. Smooth berry into an even layer. Transfer berry mixture to a 10 inch cast iron skillet.
  • Spread topping evenly on top of berry mixture with spatula.
  • Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until berry juices are bubbling
  • Serve warm with ice cream
