Blake started pre-school this year. Last week I received a letter in his cubby informing us parents that there is a Valentine’s Pre-school dance the Friday after Valentine’s Day! What! I’m so not ready LOL! Preschool dance?!!
Us parents were also informed that we are to bring an appetizer or dessert along to feed the 3 preschool classes and the kindergarteners! Oh and I also received a separate letter with the names of 20 kids to whom we are supposed to provide Valentine’s Day cards!
I love helping. I secretly am vying to be room-parent next year LOL! Then why did I feel so overwhelmed by the parent updates in my son’s cubby? Taking a deep breath and saying a prayer some great ideas came to mind that I’d love to share with you here!
Remember I said to save any left-over icing because it will come in handy later?! Well it did! You can’t go wrong with store-bought sugar cookies. Literally put those bad boys on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake them per the instructions on the package. After they cool, use that left-over icing and pipe your Valentine’s Day roses on top! EASY! BEAUTIFUL! DONE! END-OF-STORY! LOL!
I also happened to have these darling Valentine’s Day treat bags that I popped some popcorn in! What kid wouldn’t love getting a bag like this no matter what’s inside?! The 99ct store will have some if they haven’t sold out already!
I am going to enjoy watching my sons at their very first school dance! Oh and we are giving Paw Patrol store-bought cards out! Kudos to all the moms who are going the DIY route! I truly admire you! And I’ll be watching all the cute DIY cards on my feed getting ideas for next year. Just not me this time.. No-stress! Who knows- maybe there’s hope for me to be the room-mom yet LOL.
On hands mom. Your the best👏🏽.
On hands mom. What more can you ask for as a kid👍🏿
