I rarely eat fast food. But every once in a while I’ll crave a McDonald’s breakfast biscuit sandwich!!! And I lather up my sandwich with strawberry jam. I eat it slowly to make all the comfort last.

Well its been raining on and off most of February. When the weather report said more rain was on the way last night I knew this would be the kind of Sunday morning that called for staying in your pajamas all day as well as biscuits to go with the bacon and eggs.

Good news is you can skip the line at Mac Donald’s and make these buttery and flaky biscuits right home with just 10 minutes prep time. They’re moist and soft inside- you may never want to buy a can of biscuit dough again. biscuits2biscuits3

Here’s the recipe!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 Cups of all purpose flower
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of butter, diced
  • 1 cup of milk

DIRECTIONS:

  • Preheat your oven to 430 degrees.
  • Mix together all the dry ingredients in stand mixer
  • Add in the butter and mix slowly till the flour mixture resembles crumbs
  • Add in the milk a little a at a time (don’t over mix)
  • Using  a large  cookie scoop, drop the biscuit dough onto a greased cookie sheet. I cover my cookie sheet with foil and spray a light coat of vegetable oil.
  • Cook for 12-15 minutes or until the edges turn brown.
