A dream of mine recently came true:
I was selected to be a part of the Disney Creators Lab Cohort for 2022.
I am just getting back from the most magical weekend where I was hosted to a weekend at Disneyland as part of the experience. I bonded with my cohort, learned from industry professionals, and was hosted to private receptions and celebrations that I could have never dreamed of and I can’t wait to share with you.
But first things first. I bet you’re wondering,
What is the Disney Creators Lab?
The Disney Creators Lab offers opportunities to selected content creators to help them grow and enhance their story-telling skills. Through story-telling, we as content creators can share our passion for Disney and all that it has to offer with you as you plan your next Disney vacation. I was one of the lucky 21 diverse micro-influencers that were chosen to participate in this cohort! Being in the cohort means we will have the opportunity to go on some special Disney vacations as well. After a few weeks of training online, I was so excited to meet my cohort and go on an incredible adventure with them for a weekend. Here’s what happened:
Day One
On our first day there, we checked into our hotel and then we headed to a private welcome reception at Splitsville Luxury Lanes Dining. This was the perfect place to enjoy some good food and company with our Disney Creators Lab cohort. After we ate, we got to know each other as we put our bowling skills to the test. If you are ever in Downtown Disney, you should stop by Splitsville and try the food because it is so good! They have a wide selection of food for the whole family from sushi, to burgers, to hand-tossed pizza. My personal favorite was the salmon! And if you stop by Monday through Thursday, you’re in for a treat since they also offer live music.
Day Two
We started the day with a private tour of Walt Disney Imagineering and Walt Disney Studio where we had learning experiences from amazing industry professionals. What better way to learn about the magic of story-telling than by visiting the very place on which the Walt Disney Company was built. Our cohort of the Disney Creators Lab got to walk through Walt Disney Archives and see some beautiful artwork and costumes, and I even got to step foot in Walt’s office!

Once the night came, we were escorted through California Adventure. Even though I’ve visited Disneyland before, it felt like a brand-new experience with exclusive seating for the Cars Ride.
We were then hosted to a private dinner party inside the Hollywood Theater in California Adventures. The night was full of laughter, good food, and a very special appearance from Mickey and Minnie. The magic did not stop there as our cohort also watched the World of Color show which takes your breath away no matter how many times you experience it. Day Three
