Tis the season! We’re just getting back from our magical holiday vacation at the Terranea Resort along the Palos Verdes Coast in California. To recap our trip, I’m going to share with you 5 reasons to stay at the Terranea Resort for your next vacation!

1. Breakfast With Santa

The holidays are not complete without a sighting of the big guy himself and Terranea Resort was his next stop. Santa had to fuel up with the endless amount of breakfast provided on our magical holiday vacation in California. As part of the Breakfast with Santa experience, we were pleasantly surprised with a wide selection of breakfast, which included an omelet station, pancakes, chicken & waffles station, and a kids buffet. I still can’t get over how much food there was. If you can name it, it was probably there. The kids had a strategy so they split up to make sure they did not miss out on all the goodies. A breakfast extravaganza is just the start of a magical day that also includes festive crafts and a photo opportunity with Santa Clause that’s perfect for your next holiday Christmas card.

2. Kid's Club Childcare

There is nothing better than a family vacation that comes with a built-in parents-night out! Thanks to Kids Club service, parents can catch a well-deserved break while the kids take part in creative arts and crafting, science-based learning, feature films, and more! You can put your mind at ease and focus on relaxing as meals and snacks are provided by the Kids Club.

Kids Club will be hosting its own NYE party, during the adult-only NYE party this year, so if you’re still looking for a last-minute adventure this might be your sign. There’s even a promotion currently going on when you book, you receive a third complimentary night! What’s a better way to spend a magical holiday vacation. Check out how Errol and I celebrated our date night on my new Instagram reel here.

3. Lobby Festivities

Every night is a magical holiday vacation since Terranea has a full line-up of different talents that will blow you away. You can head to the Lobby Bar every evening to take part in intimate performances with your drink in hand. There are even a few handcrafted seasonal cocktails to help bring in the new year. It doesn’t matter if it’s a weekday or weekend, the Lobby is ready for Merriment and Music daily from 7-11pm.

4. Social Grilling & Fine Dining

One of the reasons Terranea Resort is at the top of our list is because they understand that life is better together which is why we gathered at Bashi’s social grilling tables. A big part of our magical holiday vacation is making core memories with our kids. And this is the perfect way to gather and do just that. We shared ‘wok’-style dishes inspired by classic Chinese, Japanese, and Southeast Asian recipes. Some of the must-try small plates would definitely be their Crispy Walnut Shrimp and their Spicy Pork and Chicken Dumplings. You also can’t miss out on trying their freshly handmade rolls from the sushi bar that you can pair with an extensive sake list. And if you happen to be there on a Saturday you can also partake in some Karaoke!

Everyone knows one of the best parts of traveling is indulging in good food that you can’t get back at home and Mar’sel has you covered. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, you have the best view and some great dishes like Seared Scallops, Filet Mignon, Lobster Paccheri, and Branzino just to name a few. One of the most unique things about this fine dining experience is that the herbs and produce are grown on property in the chef’s garden. What other restaurant can you say that about?! There is also a knowledgeable sommelier to assist you with pairing your meal with the perfect wine.

And you know I love my dessert options so you have to try the Chocolate Dulcey Pot De Crème that’s made with Dulcey Valrhona chocolate crème, soft dark chocolate ganache, sea salted chocolate cookie to satisfy your sweet tooth. That’s among some of the reasons that it received an award for “Best Ocean-View Restaurants in Los Angeles” by the Food Network.

5. The Accommodations

Last but definitely not least, as a family of 5, it’s important that we have ample space and adult privacy on a magical holiday vacation. We were thrilled to be hosted in a 2-bedroom oceanfront casita. Being over 2,000 sq. ft, the casita came with a dining area and full kitchen equipped with cookware and utensils. We loved the spacious living room with a pull-out couch that lead to the outdoor patio overlooking the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

The parents’ wing featured a full bathroom, Cal King Bed as well as his-and-her robes and house shoes. The children’s wing had 2 full beds and a full bathroom as well. Last but not least, the laundry room which was situated to the left of the kitchen, came in handy with three kids. The accommodations were so perfect for the 5 of us.

Our oceanfront getaway to the Terranea Resort was nothing short of an endless adventure. From the panoramic views to the memories we got to make gathering around the table with some amazing food, this was the magical holiday vacation that we all needed. If you’re looking for an oceanside travel experience, it’s not too late to book your next getaway with a complimentary third night!

And if Breakfast with Santa sounded too good to miss, you can  Make The Ultimate Brunch Board at home to treat yourself to a yummy breakfast.
